~ Florilega: ‘The Flower Gatherer’ ~
Celebrating the abundance of each season, our petite, sustainable farm is a hub for flower lovers. Nestled at the foot of an Iron Age hill-fort in Hampshire, this peaceful pocket of land is a haven of flourishing blooms and thriving wildlife. Specialising in classic, country-house florals, we offer delightful bouquets, bunches, and buckets of blooms, grown in harmony with nature.

“All the flowers of all the tomorrows are in the seeds of today.” - Proverb
Flowers capture the magic of nature, yet so many of the bunches we pick up with our groceries are surprisingly far from being ‘natural’. Sprayed with chemicals, shipped from abroad and wrapped in plastic, the resulting products can be sadly synthetic and scentless, whilst carrying a significant environmental impact.
Our aim is to sow the seeds of today with the future in mind. We practice sustainable cultivation in step with nature, without the use of herbicides or pesticides, focussing on nurturing the soil and encouraging biodiversity of flora and fauna. Our bouquets are presented in compostable packaging, and our floral arrangements are created without floral foam. You can enjoy enchanting flowers, knowing they have been grown locally, with tender care.
Hello! My name is Florence, from an early age I have been enthralled by the natural world, with a sense of connection to the land. For my eighteenth birthday, I asked my family for a greenhouse instead of driving lessons!
Inspired by my wonderful Nana and Granny, both gifted flower arrangers, I studied how to gather and arrange ingredients from the garden. Once my own tables and windowsills were brimming with blooms, I began to share surplus bunches with neighbours. I have since expanded my growing space to regularly provide the local community and florists with home-grown floral joy. Nothing brings me greater fulfilment than seeing the power that flowers have to inspire emotion and connection. You will invariably find me up to my elbows in the soil with Monty, my canine companion, always by my side.
